ES Pipelines
More than just a Gas Transporter

In an Emergency

If you suspect a gas leak or damage to a gas pipe:

  1. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999
  2. Turn off the emergency control valve at the meter, unless the meter is located in a cellar or basement, in which case do not enter the cellar or basement
  3. Extinguish all naked flames (and do not smoke)
  4. Open doors and windows for ventilation
  5. Do NOT operate any electrical switches ON or OFF. This includes any electrical security entry locks. The door must be opened manually when the engineer arrives
  6. Please remain on site until the emergency engineer arrives
